Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
This position is located in a military community near Fort Gordon Army Base, serving as a bedroom community to Augusta, GA. The clinic has seen significant growth with an influx of new families and retired military residents, offering a wide range of outpatient services for diverse diagnoses and patient age groups.
We are currently seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have outpatient experience and a passion for helping patients recover and improve their quality of life.
Key responsibilities include treating patients with various diagnoses in an outpatient setting, collaborating with physical therapists to provide group and concurrent therapy, conducting screenings and building caseloads, performing gross motor assessments and assisting with patient evaluations, and implementing treatment plans for conditions such as post-operative back pain, tendonitis, fractures, and more.
Types of cases seen include Achilles tendonitis, ACL tear, back pain (post-operative), carpal tunnel syndrome, disc herniation, fractures/stress fractures, osteoarthritis, plantar fasciitis, rotator cuff non-surgical intervention, total joint replacement, children's injuries and developmental issues, and rehabilitation following CVA and traumatic brain injuries.
The clinic serves a diverse patient population, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
Qualifications include outpatient experience is required, 1+ years of experience is preferred, though new graduates with some orthopedic experience are welcomed to apply, and strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient care.
Flexible scheduling options are available, including 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM shifts on at least two days, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM on Fridays, remaining days can be either 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, and option for four 10-hour shifts from 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
The clinic operates Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM and on Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The team includes 3 physical therapists (PTs), 1 PTA, aides, and additional support staff.
Documentation system used: NextGen. Dress Code: Business Casual.
