Job description
Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with home health experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently in a home health setting.ResponsibilitiesProvide physical therapy treatments and procedures as directed by a licensed physical therapist.Conduct initial evaluations, recertifications, and daily visits as needed.Manage a caseload of approximately 6.5 patients per day.Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards.Collaborate with a clinical manager or educator available for support 24/7 in case of emergencies.QualificationsCurrent and valid license as a Physical Therapist Assistant.Must have previous home health experience as well as experience with Home Care Home Base.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.Experience with patients diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Orthopedic conditions, and Pneumonia is a plus.Preference will be given to candidates who are not new graduates.Working ConditionsTypical shifts consist of five 8-hour days, with rotating weekend and holiday coverage as required.
