Speech Language Pathologist
Unit Information
Location: Houston, TX
Number of Beds: 381
Number of Staff: 2
Type of Staff:
Day Shift - 1 Full-Time Speech Therapist, 1 PRN Speech Therapist (one day a week)
Patient Ratios: Caseload dependent
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech Magic/Meditech Expanse
Job Responsibilities Evaluate speech, language, and swallowing abilities of patients with functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in health status due to various medical conditions.
Synthesize evaluation data to establish a plan of care using evidence-based practice interventions and age-appropriate goals.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement and assess intervention programs.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required Skills:
Neonatal Experience
Experience with Modified Barium Swallow Study
Preferred Skills:
Pediatric Experience
Adult Experience
Required Certifications:
Current Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA
Current State License in Speech-Language Pathology
Personality Fit

Dress Code
Dark Blue Scrubs required. Bare below the elbows in the NICU.
Work Schedule Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
Weekend work is not applicable.
