Physical Therapy Technician
FYZICAL Therapy & Balance - Fort Smith, AR

FYZICAL Therapy & Balance in Fort Smith is looking for a Physical Therapy Technician to join our locally owned outpatient physical therapy team.
We are looking for someone who is friendly, dependable, energetic, and enjoys helping people . You don't have to know everything about physical therapy-we can teach you the clinical skills. What matters most is that you care about people, are willing to learn, and want to be part of a team that takes pride in the care we provide.
What You'll Do
Assist our physical therapists and patients during treatment sessions
Help patients with exercises and therapeutic activities
Set up and clean treatment areas and equipment
Assist with hot/cold modalities and other treatment activities as directed
Keep the clinic organized, clean, and welcoming
Help patients feel comfortable and encouraged throughout their visits
Work closely with our PTs and the rest of our team to provide a great patient experience
Learn about a variety of physical therapy specialties, including orthopedic, vestibular, balance, concussion, and pelvic health rehabilitation
We're Looking For Someone Who Is:
Friendly and comfortable interacting with people of all ages
Dependable and willing to jump in wherever needed
A good communicator and team player
Comfortable being active and on your feet throughout the day
Detail-oriented and able to follow instructions
Compassionate and patient with people who may be hurting, frustrated, or nervous
Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus
Interested in healthcare, physical therapy, exercise science, or a related field.
Previous healthcare or rehabilitation experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.

Help physical therapist provide care to patients
Ensure clients are being seen in a timely manner with no backlogs
Provide supervised assistance to patients
Sanitize rooms after each client
Some admin and office tasks
Assist the therapist in administering patient care
Maintain a smooth flow of patients through the clinic and gym
With supervision, set up patients on modalities; assist with their exercise programs
Clean tables and equipment between patients
Assist with clerical and administrative tasks as needed
Perform some laundry duties
Skills & Qualifications
Required skills & qualifications:
H.S. graduate or GED
Great communication/interpersonal skills
Preferred but not required:
Working toward a physical therapy or AT degree
Knowledgeable of medical language
