REI Shipping & Receiving ClerkLocation: Hidalgo, TX, US, 78557 Business Unit: Ophthalmic & Precision SolutionsThe Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing tools, equipment, and products within the storage facilities, along with other tasks as assigned. Responsible for performing routine semi-skilled work in the maintenance of multiple facility locations.What you will do:Maintain a clean and safe work environment including company/work vehiclesGeneral shipping and receiving tasks: UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS, and various truck deliveries and pickups Includes the proper completion of required paperwork and legal compliancePacking and shipping various products and parts appropriately, efficiently, and with regard to how the customer will receive themMaintain multiple facility locations through janitorial duties, updates, regular building maintenance, and miscellaneous maintenance repairsMaintain inventories in a clean, organized fashionWe are looking for:High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred1-3 years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceForklift license preferred and/or willing to become certifiedStrong communication skills and ability to work with various departments and personnelAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsAbility to problem solve and offer solutionsAbility to multitask and prioritizeAbility to respond effectively to emergency situations that may ariseWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to perform various physical duties such as using hands, reaching, standing, crouching, sitting, climbing; as well as regularly lift and move objects up to 50 lbs. Ability to hear and see clearly required to maintain personal and facility safety The employee is frequently exposed to vibration and the work environment noise level is usually loudCompensation: HourlySalary Minimum: 35,000 Salary Maximum: 40,000 Incentive: No
