Reliability Engineer | Plainwell, MI

Salary Range: $77,000 - $117,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Plainwell that are seeking Reliability Engineers. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement predictive and preventative maintenance strategies.

Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and recurring issues.

Optimize maintenance procedures and recommend design improvements for reliability.

Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and potential failure modes.

Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to improve asset uptime and reduce costs.

Manage and track key reliability metrics (e.g., MTBF, MTTR, OEE).

Recommended Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or similar)

3+ years experience in a manufacturing environment, focusing on reliability engineering principles

Proficient in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodologies and tools (e.g., FMEA, 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams)

Demonstrated experience with predictive maintenance technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis)

Strong understanding of asset management principles and lifecycle cost analysis

Familiarity with CMMS/EAM systems and their application in maintenance and reliability workflows

Bonus Qualifications

Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) certification.

Experience with predictive maintenance technologies (e.g., vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis).

Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP, R).

Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies and tools.

Experience with specific CMMS/EAM systems (e.g., SAP PM, Maximo, Infor EAM).
