Schedule: Relief

Why Join Animal Emergency Clinic (AEC)

Animal Emergency Clinic is an emergency-only hospital and proud member of the Ethos Veterinary Health network. That means access to national support, modern resources, and career development opportunities all while maintaining a local hospital culture our team truly values.

As part of Ethos, your voice, growth, and expertise truly matter.

Location Highlight

Located in Southern California's Inland Empire, Riverside offers year-round sunshine, beautiful mountain views, and easy access to everything SoCal has to offer. Enjoy hiking and outdoor recreation, a vibrant downtown, and weekend trips to Los Angeles, Orange County, Palm Springs, the mountains, and the coast-all while enjoying more space and affordability than many neighboring Southern California communities.

In your day-to-day, you will:

Deliver high-quality emergency and critical care to a diverse caseload of companion animals.

Evaluate, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for patients presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions.

Provide comprehensive emergency care through a balanced mix of receiving new emergency cases, triaging incoming patients, and managing hospitalized patients throughout their course of treatment.

Perform emergency procedures and stabilize critically ill or injured patients using evidence-based medicine.

Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams to provide seamless, compassionate patient care.

Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners during stressful and emotional situations.

Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture built on collaboration, mentorship, and continuous learning.

What You Bring

DVM or equivalent veterinary degree with eligibility for state veterinary licensure.

Completion of a rotating internship or experience practicing emergency medicine is preferred (or equivalent clinical experience).

Confidence managing emergency cases and making sound clinical decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication skills with a compassionate, client-centered approach.

A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.

A passion for continuous learning, teamwork, and advancing emergency veterinary medicine.
