Our Mars Hill facility has over 200 incredible team members who work together to provide our customers with the best possible potato product.Job ResponsibilitiesRelieve all operators for breaks, lunches and scheduled days off.Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.Adhere to all safety policies andRunning and maintaining equipment and making appropriate adjustments asInspect bags/trays for proper seal integrity, weight, and verify proper coding onProvide proper documentation of all qualityVerifying that proper operational guidelines are followed both in cleaning and productionSetting-up and operating the metal detector, scale and theProper input of ingredient usage intoEffectively communicating relevant information to fellow employees on the shift and to on-coming employees at shift change.General cleaning of equipment and maintaining good housekeeping throughout the department per the daily sanitation checklist.Assist with SOPs development and rolloutProvide training to employeesWork closely with all supervisors to understand staffing needsPerform other duties asUse computer consoles to configure SKU settingsJob QualificationsHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.In order to promote a manufacturing environment that is safe and efficient for both personnel and food, the ability to effectively communicate in basic English (both verbal and written) is required. This includes the ability to speak, read and comprehend safety instructions, rules and warnings for self and others in both normal and emergency situations.Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.The pay range for this position is $17.85 to $21.42 per hour.
