Job Title: Relief Veterinarian, Emergency and Urgent Care

Overview:
Looking to add meaningful income before the holidays without taking on another permanent commitment? A well-established, privately owned 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital in South Florida is seeking experienced relief DVMs to join its emergency team on a per-shift basis. Pick up a few shifts or build a regular rotation. Day and overnight shifts are both open, so you can fit this around your current schedule. This is emergency medicine with real backup. You will work alongside a deep bench of board-certified specialists in emergency and critical care, internal medicine, surgery, and cardiology, all under one roof. When a case needs advanced intervention, you refer in-house. No surgery, no dentistry, no chasing a specialist across town. You focus on what you do best: triage, stabilize, diagnose, and treat.
What you will be doing:
12-hour emergency and urgent care shifts, days or overnights
Triage, stabilization, and case management for walk-in and referred emergencies
Handoff and referral to on-site specialty services when indicated
No surgical or dental procedures required
What you must have:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from an AVMA accredited program
Active and unrestricted Florida veterinary license
Active DEA registration
Emergency or urgent care experience (required)
Comfort managing a fast-paced caseload over a 12-hour shift
Professional liability coverage (PLIT or equivalent)
