Reman Pallet BuilderThe Reman Pallet Builder is responsible for assembling, rebuilding, and manufacturing pallets according to production requirements and company quality standards. This role performs a variety of fast-paced, hands-on tasks using power tools, hand tools, and production equipment to build or remanufacture pallets safely and efficiently. Success in this position requires strong attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to work in a high-volume warehouse environment while meeting or exceeding daily production goals.Founded in 1989 and headquartered in Dallas, Texas, PLA is a national supply chain solutions provider offering Pallet Management Services, 3PL Services, Reverse Logistics Services, and Freight Brokerage & Transportation Management Services. With 76+ facilities, 3,500+ team members, and operations spanning 23 states, PLA continues to grow both organically and through acquisition.What You'll Be DoingBuilding, assembling, and remanufacturing pallets according to required specificationsUsing nail guns, saws, pry bars, hammers, and other hand/power tools to complete pallet buildsMeeting or exceeding daily production targets while maintaining quality standardsInspecting wood components for defects, damage, or inconsistencies before assemblyEnsuring proper placement of deck boards, stringers, and braces to meet pallet design requirementsReplacing damaged wood pieces and reinforcing pallets as neededOperating machinery and tools safely according to company guidelinesMaintaining a clean and organized work area to reduce safety hazardsFollowing all safety rules, PPE requirements, and production proceduresAssisting team members and supervisors as needed to support overall production flowPerforming other duties as assignedWhat We're Looking ForExperience in pallet building, carpentry, construction, or similar work preferredFamiliarity with nail guns, saws, and other power toolsAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environmentStrong attention to detail and ability to follow build instructionsComfort working with repetitive tasks and meeting daily production goalsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferred (not required)Physical RequirementsConstant standing and walking throughout the shiftRepetitive lifting, pushing, and pulling of up to 75 lbs or moreFrequent bending, twisting, reaching, and handling of materialsAbility to safely operate tools and machinery in a physically demanding environmentWork EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee will primarily work in a warehouse environment. This may include exposure to dust, fluctuating temperatures (hot and cold), and moderate to high noise levels.
