Job description
The Remedy Developer is responsible for designing, developing, customizing, and supporting Remedy applications in a highly dynamic environment.
This role requires hands-on expertise with Remedy development, integration capabilities, scripting, and data management.
The developer will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, build new features, support customizations, and ensure the stability and performance of the Remedy platform.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement Remedy applications within a highly customized environment.
Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to gather, analyze, and document requirements for enhancements and new features.
Customize Remedy applications using workflows, scripting, UI policies, and configuration tools.
Build integrations between Remedy and external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, scripts, and middleware.
Perform unit testing and support user acceptance testing to ensure solution quality.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including workflow diagrams, design specifications, and data models.
Provide technical support for Remedy applications and resolve platform issues.
Monitor and stay updated on Remedy system upgrades, new features, and best practices.
Support ongoing maintenance activities, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
Required Qualifications
4+ years of hands-on experience as a Remedy Developer.
Strong knowledge of Remedy development including Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Actions, Scheduled Jobs, Import Sets, Transform Maps, and Web Services.
Experience developing Remedy integrations using REST, SOAP, or other integration methods.
Proficiency in PL/SQL, stored procedure development, and performance tuning.
Experience working with Oracle databases.
Experience writing Linux shell scripts and Python scripts.
Experience with Linux operating systems.
Familiarity with the Remedy upgrade process and resolving post-upgrade issues.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently or in team settings.
Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience upgrading Remedy 20.x to Helix on-prem.
Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
AWS experience.
Experience with Helix (even if not in the current environment).
