Job description

Benefits:

n401(k)

nCompetitive salary

nHealth insurance

nPaid time off

nDreamMaker Bath & Kitchen is looking for a full-time Remodeling Design Assistant / Client Ambassador to support both our clients and our design team.

nThis is a hybrid role for someone who enjoys working with people but also likes the detailed work behind great design. You’ll help create a strong first experience for prospective clients while supporting our designers with drawings, product research, documentation, and project coordination.

nWe are a full-service design/build remodeling company serving homeowners throughout Southeast Michigan since 2003.

nCompensation & Benefits

nHourly pay: $22–$30+ per hour, based on experience

nHealth, dental, and vision insurance

n401(k) with company match

nSupplemental insurance

nPaid vacation, holidays, and sick time

nTraining and professional development

nFull-time, primarily in-person role at our Ann Arbor Design Center

nWhat You’ll Do

nClient & Design Center Support

nWelcome walk-ins and answer incoming phone calls

nGather basic project information and document prospective client needs

nHelp prospects understand DreamMaker’s services and process

nConnect clients and prospects with the appropriate team member

nHelp maintain an organized, professional design-center environment

nAssist with samples, displays, literature, and general showroom upkeep

nDesign Support

nAssist with kitchen, bath, and interior remodeling plans

nPrepare or update cabinet layouts, floor plans, elevations, and 3D views

nResearch products and materials based on designer direction

nGather specifications, installation requirements, pricing, and lead-time information

nHelp organize selections and prepare information for client meetings

nMaintain accurate project documentation and follow up on open items

nTeam Support

nWork with multiple members of the sales and design team based on workload

nCoordinate with estimating and other departments when information is needed

nIdentify missing information or potential issues early

nAssist with administrative tasks that help keep projects moving

nWhat We’re Looking For

nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills

nStrong organization and attention to detail

nComfortable switching between client interaction and focused project work

nExperience or interest in kitchen and bath design, interiors, cabinetry, remodeling, or a related field

nGood spatial reasoning and ability to understand plans

nExperience with kitchen/bath design software or CAD preferred

nProKitchen experience is a plus

nStrong computer skills and willingness to learn new systems

nAbility to manage multiple assignments and follow through reliably

nAn associate degree in design or a related field is helpful but not required with relevant experience.

nWho Will Thrive in This Role

nYou enjoy both people and details. You can greet a homeowner, answer questions professionally, and then return to a cabinet layout, product-research assignment, or documentation task without losing track of either.

nYou are organized, dependable, curious, and comfortable supporting a team. You do not need to be the person leading every client meeting to take pride in helping create a great client experience and a well-developed design.

nAbout DreamMaker

nDreamMaker Bath & Kitchen is a locally-owned, full-service interior remodeling company. We handle the complete process from initial planning and design through construction and warranty service.

nOur mission is:

nEfficient Remodeling with Exceptional Service.

nApply with your resume. If you have experience with kitchen or bath design, cabinetry, CAD, or design documentation, examples of your work are welcome but not required.
