Senior Data Scientist – United Airlines – Chicago, USA
Salary: $20-30 per hour
Bachelor’s Degree required.
United Airlines is expanding its loyalty program, MileagePlus, and seeks a Chief Data Scientist to lead advanced analytics and drive business results. The role is a hybrid position based in our Chicago office, using comprehensive data to identify new opportunities, improve programs, and develop data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities
Solve business problems with data solutions.
Discuss business challenges and opportunities with co‑workers.
Provide an overview of the current data assets.
Educate stakeholders about opportunities to model information.
Make a business case by testing a model that will be tested and approved.
Adapt existing models based on new data resources or changing business environments.
Communicate with victims.
Present the results of data science work in a format that can be understood by business users who are not familiar with the technical details.
Create relevant metrics and provide expert advice to business partners in partnership meetings.
Work with leading technologies to solve data problems.
Develop strong visual cues for easy results recognition.
Advise team members of best practices and standard procedures.
Lead by example, document successes and failures to build long–term knowledge.
Enable decision makers and peers to leverage data‑driven thinking and problem solving.
