Position Overview
Life Healing Behavioral Health Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team in a full-time capacity. This remote position focuses on delivering essential mental health services within a school setting, specifically aimed at enhancing the emotional and social well-being of students. Work Environment
This position allows for a dynamic and flexible work environment as it is fully remote, giving you the opportunity to engage with students and families without the need for a physical office presence. You will utilize advanced telehealth technologies to conduct assessments, deliver counseling, and follow up on progress. Even though the work is remote, frequent collaboration with school staff and families will be essential.
Key Responsibilities
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Life Healing Behavioral Health Center, your daily responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough evaluations and assessments tailored to the psychosocial needs of students in a school setting.
Developing and implementing Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) in collaboration with educational staff and parents.
Monitoring progress and adjusting treatment plans accordingly, while actively participating as a key member of the interdisciplinary team.
Providing direct counseling and support services to students, as well as family guidance to strengthen home/school connections.
Establishing rapport with students, families, and school personnel to foster a collaborative and trusting environment.
Ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding mental health services and documentation.
Actively participating in case conferences, contributing insights and feedback to enhance client care.
Patient Population / Client Focus
This role primarily focuses on school-aged children, ranging from early childhood to high school, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and social skill development. As a crucial member of the school team, you’ll advocate for students and their families, work towards minimizing barriers to learning, and ensure a nurturing environment for all clients.
Qualifications
The following qualifications are essential for consideration:
A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field from an accredited institution.
Full licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New Jersey is required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for effective interaction with clients, families, and educational staff.
Expertise in assessment, diagnosis, crisis intervention, and treatment methodologies for children and adolescents.
Organizational skills to manage caseloads effectively and meet reporting requirements.
Preferred Experience
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience, preferably working in a school or community setting.
