Work Environment
As a remote team member, you will collaborate with a diverse group of mental health professionals dedicated to enhancing client care. Key Responsibilities
Conduct secure and confidential remote therapy sessions using our HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform, catering to both individual and group clients.
Perform thorough assessments of clients' emotional, social, and psychological needs to inform personalized treatment plans and intervention strategies.
Provide immediate support for clients in crisis, offering de-escalation techniques to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
Assist clients in navigating community resources and social services to enhance their overall mental health support and access necessary programs.
Maintain detailed electronic client records and document progress notes in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
Collaborate with fellow clinicians and other healthcare providers to coordinate client care, ensuring a holistic approach to mental health management.
Educate clients on effective coping strategies, self-care techniques, and communication skills to empower them in managing their mental health.
Stay current with the latest developments in clinical social work and teletherapy practices through ongoing professional development opportunities.
Patient Population / Client Focus
In this role, you will primarily serve clients experiencing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, grief, adjustment disorders, and other psychosocial challenges. You will engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds, ensuring that your therapeutic interventions are culturally competent and tailored to meet the specific needs of each client.
Qualifications
Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Kansas.
A Bachelor's degree in Social Work (BSW) or a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or a related field.
A minimum of three years of relevant experience in clinical social work or a related field.
Proficiency in telehealth technology and virtual therapy platforms.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to foster effective remote interactions with clients.
Strong commitment to ethical practice and client confidentiality.
Ability to work independently while effectively managing a caseload in a remote setting.
Flexibility to accommodate client appointments across various time zones.
Preferred Experience
Experience working with clients in a hospice or end-of-life care setting is highly valued.
Knowledge of trauma-informed care and mental health crisis intervention techniques.
Familiarity with various therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Compensation and Benefits
