Key Responsibilities
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Black Rock, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough clinical assessments for patients presenting with a variety of mental health concerns, from anxiety and depression to grief and trauma.
Developing tailored treatment plans employing solution-based strategies and best practices that cater to individual patient needs.
Implementing a range of therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), ensuring adherence to evidence-based protocols.
Maintaining detailed, accurate clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and associated regulatory bodies.
Collaborating with an interdisciplinary treatment team—consisting of psychiatrists, psychologists, and nursing staff—to ensure cohesive and comprehensive patient care.
Participating in regular case reviews, peer consultations, and team meetings designed to enhance service delivery and clinical expertise.
Providing essential psychoeducation and emotional support to patients and their families, facilitating their understanding of mental health matters and available resources.
Staying informed of current research and trends in mental health interventions, integrating this knowledge into your clinical practice to elevate care quality.
Managing a full patient caseload effectively, measuring treatment progress, and adhering to ethical guidelines established by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will primarily engage with patients and families navigating the challenges related to end-of-life care, chronic illness, and the emotional impact of such transitions. By employing a compassionate and person-centered approach, you will help to improve their mental health and facilitate a supportive atmosphere for both patients and their loved ones.
Qualifications
A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
A current and valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Nevada.
A minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience, specifically focused on psychotherapy services.
Strong understanding of solution-focused therapy modalities and excellent bedside manner.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities that enable efficient work within a team setting.
Preferred Experience
Experience working in hospice care or with terminally ill patients is highly desirable.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems to maintain patient documentation.
Advanced knowledge of relevant mental health treatment modalities tailored to older adults and those facing serious health conditions.
Compensation and Benefits
