Work Environment
The role is primarily remote, providing flexibility while offering essential school-based counseling services. Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to gain insights into students' mental health challenges, strengths, and available support resources.
Provide individualized therapy, as well as family and group sessions, utilizing evidence-based methodologies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and trauma-informed approaches.
Develop and implement tailored treatment plans with specific goals, strategies, and measurable outcomes.
Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals, including school psychologists, counselors, and educational staff, to create integrated support strategies for students.
Facilitate crisis interventions and safety planning whenever required, employing best practices to ensure student safety and well-being.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of sessions in compliance with ethical, legal, and organizational standards.
Facilitate psychoeducation classes and support groups aimed at educating students and their families about mental health issues.
Patient Population / Client Focus
This position primarily serves students from various backgrounds, ranging in age from elementary to high school. You will work with students facing a diverse set of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral issues, and adjustment difficulties related to school environments. Your efforts will play a vital role in helping these students overcome obstacles and thrive both academically and personally.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
A minimum of two years' experience in a mental health or outpatient setting, ideally with some background in educational psychology or school-based services.
Sound knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches and practices.
Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and assessment skills required for building rapport with students, families, and colleagues.
Preferred Experience
Experience working in a school environment directly with students and educational staff.
Familiarity with special education and individualized education plans (IEPs) is beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 – 100,000 per year, complemented by an attractive benefits package.
