Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough assessments and screenings to establish clients' substance abuse histories and mental health needs.
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address both addiction and any underlying mental health issues.
Facilitate engaging and therapeutic individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based methodologies, with a focus on motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy.
Collaborate actively with treatment team members to ensure cohesive, integrated care that aligns with best practices in substance abuse treatment.
Educate and empower clients' families, encouraging their involvement in the recovery process for enhanced support.
Mantain detailed and compliant documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in accordance with regulatory standards and organizational protocols.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your primary focus will be on individuals struggling with addiction to various substances, including alcohol, opioids, and stimulants. You will also work with clients facing co-occurring disorders, such as anxiety or depression. Understanding the unique challenges these populations face will be crucial as you provide empathetic and targeted therapeutic interventions.
Qualifications
A valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
A master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required.
A strong foundation in addiction counseling, with up-to-date training in best practices and methodologies.
Exceptional therapeutic skill set, with a proven ability to motivate and engage clients effectively.
Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork abilities in a remote work environment.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with specialized training in addiction counseling or previous experience working in substance abuse settings will be prioritized. Familiarity with contemporary treatment modalities and approaches to co-occurring disorders will also be beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits
The annual salary for this role ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and credentials.
