Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to gain deep insights into clients' mental health challenges, tailoring specific treatment plans that align with their individual needs.
Facilitate individual therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices, fostering client engagement and encouraging personal growth.
Collaborate closely with clients to establish meaningful therapeutic goals, continuously monitoring their progress to ensure effective and responsive treatment.
Provide teletherapy services to clients who prefer the convenience of virtual sessions, especially those facing geographic or accessibility limitations, ensuring equitable access to mental health support.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with ethical and regulatory standards, reflecting commitment to professionalism and quality care.
Participate in ongoing professional development sessions and training opportunities to enhance clinical skills and stay informed about emerging best practices in mental health treatment.
Patient Population / Client Focus
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with New Era Psychological Center, you will work with a diverse client population, including individuals experiencing trauma, anxiety disorders, depression, and other mental health challenges. Our practice is known for its holistic approach, deeply respecting each client’s unique journey and providing individualized care that promotes healing and resilience. Your expertise will help clients navigate their personal struggles while building a pathway towards recovery and empowerment.
Qualifications
Must possess a current and valid license to practice in the state of Illinois as one of the following: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
A Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for the establishment of a safe and trusting therapeutic alliance with clients.
Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental perspective when engaging with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Strong organizational skills, time-management abilities, and proficiency in administrative tasks to manage a dynamic caseload effectively.
Preferred Experience
Prior experience in a telehealth environment is highly desirable, as familiarity with remote counseling practices enhances client engagement and treatment effectiveness.
Experience working with specific populations such as children, adolescents, or veterans could be beneficial given the varied client base.
Compensation and Benefits
Annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and caseload, ensuring competitive compensation for your expertise.
