Work Environment
This position offers a remote work setting, allowing flexibility in your daily schedule. You'll leverage cloud-based technology and a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform to conduct therapy sessions seamlessly. We equip you with a robust Electronic Health Records (EHR) system, which supports compliance with all insurance requirements, including Medicaid and Medicare, promoting efficient and accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Provide individual, family, and group counseling sessions aimed at identifying clients' challenges and collaborating on effective solutions.
Utilize treatment plans to assist clients in managing symptoms related to mental health, trauma, and co-occurring disorders.
Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure client safety during all counseling sessions.
Document and analyze client progress using our cloud-based EHR system to ensure comprehensive care.
Develop and implement tailored treatment programs, ensuring alignment with organizational best practices.
Engage in ongoing training and professional development opportunities, enhancing skills and knowledge to better serve your clients.
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our clinic serves a diverse clientele, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma-related issues, and co-occurring disorders. As a counselor, you will be responsible for creating a supportive environment that fosters open communication and encourages clients in their journey toward mental wellness.
Qualifications
A Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Active and unrestricted licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York State.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in mental health counseling.
Possess excellent communication skills, allowing for effective patient engagement and collaboration.
A reliable laptop or desktop with internet access and a webcam for conducting virtual sessions.
Ability to work independently and consistently manage a flexible schedule.
Completion of a background check is mandatory.
Preferred Experience
Familiarity with electronic health records systems, particularly cloud-based platforms.
Proficient in providing telehealth counseling services using HIPAA-compliant tools.
Previous experience working with a diverse population.
Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and evidence-based practices relevant to mental health treatment.
