Clear Hope Mental and Wellness Center is actively seeking dedicated and experienced Mental Health Counselors who hold a valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT to join our remote telehealth team. Work Environment
As a remote Mental Health Counselor, you will operate in a supportive and fully virtual environment that prioritizes work-life balance. Key Responsibilities
In your role, you will:
Conduct individual counseling sessions with clients primarily via video chat, focusing on their mental health and well-being.
Guide clients in exploring their emotions and experiences, facilitating personal insights into their mental health and interpersonal relationships.
Advocate for your clients by helping them establish and work towards personal goals, ensuring they feel heard and understood.
Evaluate clients' psychological states and craft personalized treatment plans rooted in verified methodologies and your clinical knowledge.
Utilize evidence-based strategies and tools during sessions to promote client progress and positive mental health outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our client base consists of individuals who have undergone thorough screening prior to their sessions. The clients you will see are stable adults presenting with low-acuity mental health issues, ensuring that you can provide effective support without the challenges associated with severe mental health cases. Our team is committed to matching you with clients whose needs align with your specialties and preferred demographics, fostering a better therapeutic rapport.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must possess:
A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
A valid, unrestricted license to practice independently in the state of New Jersey as either an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT. Please note that we cannot accept provisional or limited licenses.
Demonstrable strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate nature, vital for building trusting relationships with clients.
Proficiency in using technology, including telehealth platforms and other digital tools for counseling sessions.
Preferred Experience
While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates with experience in a telehealth setting or those with background in specialized therapeutic techniques. Experience in working with diverse populations is also highly desirable as it enhances the therapeutic relationship and understanding.
