Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of clients to create individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs.
Provide therapeutic interventions rooted in evidence-based practices for individuals, families, couples, and group therapy sessions.
Implement a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy, and psychodynamic therapy, to support diverse client needs.
Document clinical activities accurately and maintain up-to-date electronic medical records (EMR) in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Engage in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and develop comprehensive treatment strategies for clients.
Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities, including workshops and training sessions, to stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mental health practices.

Qualifications
Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of New York.
A bachelor's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required. A master's or doctoral degree is strongly preferred.
Minimum of two years of clinical counseling experience, demonstrating a solid understanding of mental health conditions and treatment practices.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and foster trust with a diverse clientele.
Proficiency in utilizing electronic medical record systems and other related technologies to enhance client care.
Preferred Experience
Experience in delivering family therapy, couples therapy, or specialized approaches for trauma or substance misuse is highly desirable.
Knowledge of legal and ethical standards of practice in mental health counseling.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively as part of a healthcare team, contributing to a holistic approach to client treatment.
