Key Responsibilities
Your day-to-day tasks as a Remote Mental Health Counselor will include:
Conducting individual counseling sessions via video chat to assist clients in improving their mental health.
Guiding clients through discussions about their emotions and past experiences to foster self-awareness and insight regarding their behaviors and relationships.
Acting as an advocate for clients by helping them set realistic goals and identify steps towards achieving mental wellness.
Evaluating clients’ mental health conditions, developing, and implementing personalized treatment plans utilizing a solution-focused approach grounded in best practices and your clinical expertise.
Maintaining accurate client records and monitoring progress in compliance with organizational policies and state regulations.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will primarily work with stable adults who have been thoroughly screened before accessing your services, ensuring they present with low acuity mental health issues. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
A completed Master's degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
A full and valid state license to practice independently without supervision in good standing, specifically one of the following: LMFT, LMHC, or LCSW.
Strong interpersonal skills and a sympathetic nature that fosters rapport and trust with clients.
Excellent communication skills to articulate treatment plans and provide feedback effectively.
Preferred Experience
While not mandatory, the following experience will enhance your candidacy:
Previous experience in a virtual counseling setting or utilizing teletherapy technology.
Specializations in specific therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
A background in working with diverse populations and understanding multicultural perspectives in mental health.
Compensation and Benefits
