Position Overview
Center Stone Counseling Services is seeking a dedicated and qualified Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our remote telehealth team. Key Responsibilities
Conduct detailed preliminary interviews with clients, documenting their cases from initial consultation through the completion of treatment to ensure comprehensive care tracking.
Assess and evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health to develop well-rounded intervention and recovery plans for individuals, families, and groups.
Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions that encourage open communication and effective coping strategies, adapting approaches based on real-time feedback.
Monitor client progress meticulously throughout treatment, making adjustments to therapeutic plans and techniques as required to optimize recovery outcomes.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers to create integrated intervention plans that address the full spectrum of each client’s needs.
Provide necessary follow-ups with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients who may require hospitalization, ensuring seamless transitions in care.
Identify and mitigate potential behaviors that hinder recovery, providing strategies and support for both clients and their families.
Educate and assist family members and primary caregivers in managing behavioral challenges, promoting a supportive home environment.
Patient Population / Client Focus
As a licensed mental health counselor at Center Stone Counseling Services, you will serve a diverse clientele, which ranges from individuals experiencing mild anxiety to those facing severe emotional disturbances. Our telehealth framework allows us to reach clients across various demographics, ensuring that mental health services are accessible to everyone, regardless of location. Understanding cultural sensitivities and building rapport with clients from varying backgrounds are crucial in this role.
Qualifications
A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
Currently valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.
Successful completion of the NCE, and/or the NCMHCE examinations.
Prior experience working as a mental health counselor with a focus on evidence-based interventions.
Proficient in utilizing electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, for case documentation and patient management.
Familiar with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Exceptional written and verbal communication, along with strong interpersonal skills, fostering positive client relationships.
Preferred Experience
Demonstrated experience handling clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
Knowledge and understanding of the effects of psychotropic medications and medical treatments prescribed by healthcare providers.
A background in family systems therapy or trauma-informed care approaches.
Compensation and Benefits
The compensation for this role ranges from USD $80,000 to $100,000 annually, accompanied by a competitive sign-on bonus.
