Vital Edge Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate licensed professional counselor to join our dynamic team. This full-time position primarily involves providing telehealth counseling services to clients from the comfort of their own homes or designated locations. The work setting for this position is primarily remote, providing flexibility and convenience for both the counselors and the clients we serve. Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive virtual assessments using telehealth platforms to evaluate clients' mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and family issues.
Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on client assessments and individual needs, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
Provide one-on-one telehealth counseling sessions, utilizing video conferencing technologies to create a comfortable and safe environment for clients.
Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with relevant laws and regulations, ensuring that all documentation reflects the highest standards of care.
Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, social workers, and community organizations to ensure holistic support for clients.
Engage in ongoing professional development by attending training sessions, workshops, and conferences to stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in mental health care.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The counselor will work closely with a diverse population, including adults, adolescents, and families grappling with various mental health issues. Our clients come from various backgrounds and experiences, ensuring the necessity for counselors who are culturally competent and adaptable. With a focus on recovery-oriented practices, the counselor will help clients develop coping strategies and achieve personal growth and resilience.
Qualifications
A master’s or doctoral degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a closely related field is required.
An active state license as a professional counselor is essential for this role.
At least two years of post-graduate experience in providing mental health counseling services in clinical settings, demonstrating proficiency in therapeutic techniques.
Familiarity with telehealth platforms, such as Zoom, Doxy.Me, or TheraNest, is strongly preferred.
Exceptional communication skills, a warm and approachable demeanor, and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
A commitment to lifelong learning and participation in professional development activities.
Preferred Experience
Experience working within community mental health settings or private practice.
Exposure to or certification in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), or EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
Demonstrated skills in crisis intervention and triage.
Compensation and Benefits
The compensation for this role ranges from USD 80,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
