Work Environment
This position is fully remote, allowing for a flexible work-life balance. As a telehealth counselor, you will conduct sessions with clients through secure, HIPAA-compliant video conferencing platforms. Key Responsibilities
Perform initial assessments and comprehensive evaluations to establish individualized treatment plans that align with each client's specific needs and therapeutic goals.
Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions with individuals, couples, families, and groups, fostering a safe space for clients to open up and engage in the therapeutic process.
Implement a variety of therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy, adapting your approach when necessary.
Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team consisting of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and other mental health professionals to ensure an integrated approach to client care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation to ensure compliance with ethical standards and legal requirements.
Stay current with advancements in mental health care by participating in ongoing professional development, workshops, and training opportunities.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will work predominantly with adults experiencing a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges. Our diverse client base includes individuals seeking support for specific problems as well as those aiming for personal development and growth. As a counselor, you will have the opportunity to create significant, positive change in the lives of your clients while promoting mental wellness in the community.
Qualifications
A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
Active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in providing counseling services, particularly within a clinical or telehealth environment.
Preferred Experience
Experience working in a telehealth setting, utilizing digital tools to engage clients effectively.
Familiarity with various assessment tools and outcome measures to track client progress and treatment efficacy.
Proficiency in conducting group therapy sessions or workshops focusing on specific mental health topics.
Compensation and Benefits
This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $300,000 to $400,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
