About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly competent Remote Mechanical Systems Engineer to provide critical support for their operations servicing the Welkom area. This position involves the remote analysis, troubleshooting, and optimization of complex mechanical systems, including machinery and equipment. You will work closely with site-based teams, offering expert remote guidance, interpreting diagnostic data, and contributing to the proactive maintenance and efficient operation of vital industrial assets. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced engineer to leverage their skills in a flexible, remote work environment, impacting operational performance significantly.

Key Responsibilities

Perform remote diagnostics and analysis of mechanical equipment performance using monitoring software.

Provide expert technical guidance and support to on-site maintenance and operational teams.

Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, identifying root causes and recommending effective solutions.

Develop and maintain documentation for remote support procedures and best practices.

Collaborate with engineering and operations to implement improvements for system reliability and efficiency.

Analyze trends in equipment performance to anticipate and prevent future failures.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Significant experience in the maintenance and troubleshooting of complex mechanical systems .

Proficiency with remote monitoring technologies and diagnostic software.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.

Excellent communication skills for effective remote collaboration and instruction.

Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
