About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Remote Pharmaceutical Data Analyst to join their global team, working from George, Western Cape . This position plays a critical role in extracting, cleaning, analyzing, and interpreting complex pharmaceutical datasets to provide actionable insights that support strategic decision-making. You will work with various internal stakeholders, including research and development, marketing, and regulatory affairs teams, to identify trends, assess product performance, and inform future drug development pipelines. This is a fully remote opportunity for a dedicated professional who excels in data manipulation and statistical analysis within the intricate landscape of the pharmaceutical sector.
Key Responsibilities
Collect, clean, and validate large datasets from diverse sources, including clinical trials, sales reports, and market research.
Perform statistical analysis, data mining, and predictive modeling to identify key trends, patterns, and correlations within pharmaceutical data.
Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools to visualize data and communicate findings to non-technical audiences.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and translate business questions into analytical frameworks.
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with industry regulations and data privacy standards.
Conduct ad-hoc analyses to address specific business inquiries and support strategic initiatives, contributing to the optimization of drug development and commercialization strategies.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Bioinformatics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
Proven experience (3+ years) as a Data Analyst, preferably within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and languages such as SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), R, or similar.
Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
Solid understanding of statistical methods and principles relevant to pharmaceutical research and development.
Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and ability to work autonomously in a remote setting.
