As the Regional Sales Director for the Metro East Region you will lead, plan, develop, and control sales activities to achieve regional revenue, profit, and customer satisfaction goals. You will coach and direct a team of senior sales representatives selling a premium product line in a complex selling environment.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate people leadership by engaging, developing, and coaching a high‑performing team.
Coordinate sales efforts and resources in key integrated Health Systems to improve strategic account growth.
Use key influences for closing sales in hospitals, labs, and health systems and relay ongoing customer feedback to the organization.
Introduce new testing concepts and products to the market, driving physician demand and adoption of diagnostic methods.
Meet or exceed growth plans for the assigned region for existing and new business accounts.
Hire, assess, train, and develop sales representatives and recommend changes as necessary.
Deliver presentations, proposals, and product shows, and negotiate contracts from single hospitals to health systems.
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of business or equivalent diagnostic experience, or Master’s in Life Science with 7+ years of business or diagnostic experience.
Strong executive-level presence and outstanding negotiation skills for multi‑year premium product agreements.
Experience setting short‑term (1‑2 years) and long‑term (3‑7 years) business strategies.
Skilled with CRM applications such as Salesforce.com.
Strong track record in capital and reagent sales.
Proactive approach to strategic business solutions to meet sales goals.
Ability to coordinate between key customers and internal/external partners to expand business opportunities.
Preferred Experience
2+ years managing people.
Knowledge of PCR / molecular testing.
Experience with customer base in the sales region.
Additional Details
50% travel is anticipated.
This position is eligible for a remote work arrangement, with additional details provided by the interview team.
Annual salary range: $170,000‑$190,000. The role is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
