Job description
SUMMARY
Assist Support Engineers with research of electrical, electronic, and mechanical design and obsolescence problems of existing company products and build-to-print jobs.
Review existing drawings and or indented Bills of Material BOM(s) to reflect design updates from engineering.
Effectively utilize Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software to create purchase requisitions and order parts and track progress of production parts.
Assist in coordination with field support requirements.
Travel to assist Atec companies field installations and preventative maintenance schedules.
Maintain customer relationships during ongoing installation efforts.
Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with Atec International Standards Organization (AS9100/ISO) policies and correct and report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.
Be familiar with and understand Atec Quality Policy and company objectives.
Participate in AS9100/ISO training as required.
Four-year Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering Technology degree (BSEET) or mechanical (BSMEET) preferred; or two (2) to four (4) years’ experience with applicable Engineering Applications; Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Computer Assisted Drawing (CAD) or Auto CAD LITE. use hands to handle equipment, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Employee is required to frequently use mechanical and electric tools such as saws, grinders, and wrenches.
Employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, and occasionally to high precarious places and outside weather conditions.
Extended work hours and/or travel may occasionally be required.
