The Rental Yard Attendant plays a key role in supporting daily branch operations by managing the inbound and outbound flow of rental equipment. Responsibilities include loading and unloading machinery, maintaining yard organization, and overseeing equipment check-in and check-out procedures. Additionally, this role helps the shop team by pressure washing equipment and performing basic maintenance tasks under supervision.What You'll DoAssist internal drivers, external haulers, and customers with safe and efficient loading and unloading of rental equipment.Ensure accuracy of delivery tickets and returned equipment documentation.Wash, organize, and perform basic upkeep on rental equipment and other rental assets.Review rental orders and stage equipment for timely pickup and delivery by drivers.Conduct routine checks to confirm rental equipment is safe, functional, and ready for use.Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free yard and work area.Support fellow team members across departments to ensure smooth daily operations.Perform other duties as assigned.RequirementsPreferredFamiliarity with various types of construction equipmentYard or other operational experience at an equipment rental yard preferredConstruction related experience preferredEducationHigh school diploma or GEDThe posted pay range reflects the full compensation range for this position. Starting pay is determined based on relevant experience, skills, certifications, geographic market, and internal equity. Most new hires are placed within the lower to middle portion of the range, with opportunities for continued wage growth as they develop in the role.Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of the job, the employee is required to stand, sit, talk, hear and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and telephoneSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirementsHearing ability is sufficient to communicate with others in person or over the phoneLight to moderate lifting may be required (up to 50 pounds)Ability to reach, stoop, kneel, and bend as needed
