Research Faculty - Neurology - Neurogenetics - (Open Rank/Track Faculty)
The Ohio State University (OSU) College of Medicine Department of Neurology, Division of Neurogenetics is seeking full-time, tenure-track faculty members to join our growing research team. Positions can be at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor.
We invite candidates whose research employs molecular, cellular, neurobiological, genetic, and/or genomic approaches to studying neurodegenerative diseases, including but not limited to Aging, Alzheimer's disease and related dementias / Parkinson's disease, with an emphasis on potential translational applications. Ideal applicants will integrate cutting-edge approaches and techniques using human and/or animal experimental models, high-throughput screening for biomarker discovery and functional genomics, or big data and machine learning methods.
The Division of Neurogenetics is implementing a comprehensive program that integrates clinical neuropathological data, deep molecular characterization of human tissue, experimental models, and cutting-edge bioinformatics and machine learning approaches. We embrace a multipronged strategy to expedite the discovery of effective therapeutic interventions. We achieve these goals through multidisciplinary research, community engagement, and educational initiatives. Faculty will have the opportunity to collaborate on research projects and publications, as well as pursue their own investigator-initiated research. We welcome candidates from all neurologic subspecialties and general neurology. We seek individuals who are motivated to grow their skillset and broaden their impact on the healthcare system.
