Research Pharmacist - Early Phase Clinical Unit

nIntermittent and Part Time Hours
nWhat You'll Do
nLead & Collaborate
nnnSupervise pharmacy coordinators and technicians, ensuring accuracy and adherence to standards.
n
nnServe as a Sub‑Investigator, supporting clinical and scientific monitoring.
n
nnAct as a key liaison between Parexel, AHGL Pharmacy, and hospital leadership.
n
n nDrive Excellence in Investigational Product Management
nnnOversee all medication handling in alignment with GCP, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
n
nnCommunicate with Sponsors on drug shipment, accountability, and dispensation.
n
nnManage inventory, blinding/randomization, and documentation.
n
nnDispense study medications and review concomitant medications for safety and eligibility.
n
nnSupport medication management for study participants at Adventist Health Glendale.
n
n nChampion Quality & Compliance
nnnEnsure the research pharmacy meets all hospital licensing and regulatory standards.
n
nnOversee QC/QA processes, drug storage, temperature logs, and accountability forms.
n
nnReview IRB submissions, amendments, progress reports, and adverse event documentation.
n
nnRepresent Parexel at IRB and regulatory compliance meetings.
n
nnProvide protocol interpretation and feasibility insights for new studies.
n
n nSupport Training & Continuous Improvement
nnnLead training on departmental and cross‑functional SOPs.
n
nnIdentify opportunities for process improvement and drive measurable outcomes.
n
nnMaintain and reinforce GCP knowledge across the team.
n
nnContribute to scientific outputs such as abstracts, manuscripts, and presentations.
n
n nWhat You Bring
nnnPharm.D or RPh with an active California pharmacist license.
n
nn2-5 years of experience in clinical research or hospital pharmacy preferred.
n
nnExpertise in sterile and non‑sterile compounding and investigational drug management.
n
nnStrong communication skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a patient‑first mindset.
n
nnAbility to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and enthusiasm.
n
nnProficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook; familiarity with clinical trial systems.
n
nnSolid understanding of GCP and relevant regulatory frameworks.

nBase Pay Range (Intermittent): $83/hour
nActual salaries may vary within the range based on several factors including, but not limited to education, training, experience, professional achievement, and location.
nIn addition to base salary, some roles may be eligible for participation in Parexel's annual performance-based bonus plan, annual salary review and additional total rewards incentives.
