Resident Ag Field Service TechnicianButler Machinery Company has an opening for a Resident Ag Field Service Technician who will work in and around the Tioga, ND area and report to the Minot location.OverviewButler Machinery Company is looking for self-motivated, customer-driven service technicians to join our winning team and help us grow our business. In this role you'll use your mechanical aptitude to perform maintenance, diagnostics and repair for all customer equipment needs primarily in a field service setting. (up to $4.00/hr differential for resident technician)QualificationsTwo year Associate Degree or equivalent training and experience preferred.Experience in repairs of agriculture equipment.Ability to perform some welding and knowledge of cutting torch.Individual must be self-motivated, organized, and self-sufficient and have the ability to work alone.Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.Knowledge of DBS and BMTS.Willingness to travel.Pre-employment drug testing conducted.Must have and maintain a clean driving record.CDL licensing or the ability to obtain CDL a must.Individual must live within 50 miles of Tioga, ND.Job ResponsibilitiesPerforms fieldwork in outlying areas with possibility of overnight stays.Performs work out of a Field Service Truck.Available to handle emergency repair situations after hours as needed.Opportunity for overtime as workload dictates (anything over 8 hours a day is paid at 1.5x your hourly rate)Completes service reports, time cards, parts returns, etc. in a timely manner.Communicates effectively with customers and supervisor.Troubleshooting capabilities within all diesel technology systems and componentry efficiently and accurately.
