Resident Care Manager (RN-DON)

Job description

The Resident Care Manager team member assist with ensuring the healthand well-being of our residents by being responsible for the overallstaffing, staff training and development, and management of personnelin the Resident Care Department. The Resident Care Manager also isresponsible for the overall quality of care assessment, planning,documentation and provision of services to residents.

Responsibilities

Ability to participate in facility on-call program which mayinclude working at facility during off hours.

Reliable transportation for on-call program required.

Ability to verbally communicate well with residents, families, andstaff members

Ability to read and understand task assignments, ability to reportverbally and provide written documentation as required.

Display of genuine concern for the elderly; a dependable, patientand compassionate attitude towards residents. Demeanor alwaysrespectful of residents' rights and wishes.

Ability to cooperate and maintain respectful treatment withothers. Sense of responsibility, maturity, diplomacy, and ability towork well with residents, families, and other staff members.

Demonstrated willingness to uphold the vision and mission of the company.

Ability to perform assigned tasks based on HHeathwood Core Valuesand to a high degree of excellence and cleanliness.

Experience and Skills:

Qualifications

Credentials of a Registered Professional Nurse with a currentState license required.

At least two years of supervisory nursing experience andadditional training and experience commensurate with the size of thefacility and responsibilities of the position required.

Geriatric nursing training or experience in structured livingarrangements for seniors preferred.

Possession of a baccalaureate degree in nursing or administration preferred.
