You've built the experience. Now lead the projects that keep New Jersey moving.
Urban Engineers is seeking Construction Resident Engineers to join our distinguished team on complex highway and bridge projects throughout New Jersey. Work with major transportation clients-including NJDOT, NJTA, NJT, DRPA, DRJTBC, and the Port Authority of NY/NJ-and help turn ambitious infrastructure plans into successful construction projects.
Take the lead where it counts.
As a Resident Engineer, you'll guide the construction inspection team and drive results across cost, schedule, and quality. You'll lead project meetings, oversee shop drawing reviews, review and approve pay estimates, resolve change orders, and help mitigate potential claims. From navigating unforeseen field conditions to keeping contractors, designers, and clients aligned, your judgment will move projects forward.

We're looking for professionals with:
10+ years of construction inspection experience, including 3+ years as a Resident Engineer
NICET III or IV and/or a PE license
Rutgers Traffic Control Coordinator (TCC) credential
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A valid driver's license
NJSAT, NECEPT, ACI, and/or NACE credentials are preferred. SiteManager and/or CapEx experience is a plus.

Pay Rate: $150,000 - $210,000/ year plus excellent benefits!
