Resident Engineer/ Transportation Construction InspectorFisher Associates is seeking a Resident Engineer/ Transportation Construction Inspector to oversee a Bridge Rehabilitation Project in the Village of Brockport, Monroe County NY. Work includes Rehabilitation of two Pedestrian Bridges. Construction is anticipated in 2027.Location: Village of BrockportDuration: approximately 4 monthsLevel: III/IVSalary Range: $35-55 / hrWhat you will do:Perform on-site inspections to confirm construction activities match approved plans and codesIdentify and report any deviations from approved plans and specificationsEnsure work complies with local, state, and federal requirementsKeep clear inspection records, including photos and notesPrepare inspection reports and document needed correctionsWork with project teams including contractors, project managers, and engineers to discuss inspection results and address any issuesAttend meetings and provide inspection updatesProvide recommendations to bring non-compliant work up to standardMonitor material quality and workmanshipOversee job sites for safety complianceReport and address any safety hazards or violations promptlyOther duties as assignedRequirements:NICET Level III or IV certification (or NYSDOT equivalent experience)OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification (required)Prior experience with roadway, utility, or transportation construction projects preferredPhysical Demands & Work Environment:Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.Must be able to access and navigate construction sitesAbility to transverse uneven grounds.Environmental Conditions: Office environment, field environment, construction site environment and inclement weather conditions.Salary Range: $35 - $55/hourActual compensation may vary based on relevant experience, qualifications/education, and other factors. The salary range is not necessarily reflective of the actual total compensation that may be earned nor promises any specific pay for any specific employee.
