Residential AssistantsMental Health Kokua is looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our Kona team as Residential Assistants. This role is at the heart of our mission—helping residents build daily living skills, maintain stable housing, and move forward in their recovery journeys. If you thrive in supportive environments and want to make a real difference, this is your opportunity.As a Residential Assistant, you will:Serve as a mentor and role model, supporting residents with daily living skills, problem-solving, and community integrationTeach activities of daily living such as cooking, personal care, and communicationRespond to emergencies, maintain safety, and keep the home environment clean and welcomingPlan and lead meaningful activities that align with residents' interests and goalsAssist with household operations and maintenance, ensuring safe and healthy living spacesEmpower residents through the recovery model, focusing on growth, resilience, and self-directionDocument services accurately and communicate effectively with case managers and supervisorsProvide supervision, reinforce positive behaviors, and respond to crises as neededSupport residents with medication self-administration in accordance with MHK policiesWe're seeking individuals who are calm under pressure, empathetic, and committed to supporting others in reaching their potential.Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma.
