You'll take ownership of your service calls and have a full home services team behind you to help deliver an exceptional customer experience.If you're looking for year-round work, strong operational support, and a company that values quality, accountability, and doing the job right, Guy Smith Home Services may be the right place for your next move.What You'll DoDiagnose, repair, and maintain residential plumbing systems.Service and install water heaters, faucets, toilets, fixtures, disposals, sump pumps, ejector pumps, and related equipment.Repair water lines, drain lines, leaks, valves, piping, and other plumbing components.Perform plumbing inspections and identify code, safety, or performance concerns.Clearly explain findings and recommend appropriate repair or replacement options.Obtain customer approval before completing work and collect payment when appropriate.Complete accurate estimates, service notes, photos, and follow-up documentation.Communicate parts, scheduling, and return-trip needs promptly to the office.Protect customers' homes and maintain a clean, professional work area.Maintain assigned vehicles, tools, materials, and truck inventory.Coordinate with dispatch, customer service, and other field teams.Participate in required meetings, technical training, and professional development.What We're Looking ForPrevious residential plumbing service and repair experience.Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.Knowledge of residential plumbing systems, fixtures, materials, and applicable codes.Ability to independently manage service calls from diagnosis through completion.Strong communication and customer service skills.Ability to explain technical findings and available options clearly to homeowners.Comfortable presenting service options and making appropriate recommendations.Commitment to safe, code-compliant, and high-quality work.Virginia Journeyman or Master Plumber license preferred.Comfortable using tablets, mobile applications, and field service software.Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.Ability to perform physical work in basements, crawl spaces, bathrooms, and outdoor conditions.Why Work at Guy Smith Home Services?Competitive compensation with performance-based earning opportunitiesSteady, year-round customer demandStrong dispatch, customer service, and operational supportMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance401(k) with Company MatchPaid Time Off and Paid HolidaysCompany-Provided VehicleCompany Phone or TabletUniforms and Professional ToolsOngoing Paid Technical and Customer Service TrainingCareer Advancement OpportunitiesSupport from an experienced plumbing, HVAC, and electrical teamA professional environment that values quality, accountability, and teamworkWhat Success Looks LikeSuccess in this role means diagnosing plumbing problems accurately, completing dependable repairs and installations, and helping homeowners feel confident in the recommendations you provide.
