Residential Painter / Remodel TechnicianWe are a professional home maintenance, handyman, and remodel company serving homeowners throughout Western DuPage County. We pride ourselves on quality workmanship, professionalism, and delivering a great customer experience. We are looking for a skilled painter who takes pride in clean, detailed work and can assist with light remodeling and repair projects when needed.Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Residential Painter / Remodel Technician to join our growing team. This role focuses on interior and exterior painting, drywall repairs, surface preparation, trim work, and finishing. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, customer-friendly, and comfortable working in occupied homes. This is not production painting. We are looking for someone who values craftsmanship and can work independently while maintaining high standards.ResponsibilitiesInterior and exterior painting of walls, ceilings, trim, doors, cabinets, decks, and sidingProper prep work including: patching drywall and plaster, caulking and filling nail holes, sanding and surface preparation, scraping peeling paint, priming and stain blocking, masking and protecting customer propertyBrush, roll, and spray application as neededMatch textures and perform drywall touch-upsMinor carpentry and trim repairs before paintingLight handyman/remodel tasks when neededMaintain clean and organized job sitesCommunicate professionally with homeownersAccurately document work and materials usedFollow company quality standards and safety practicesQualificationsRequired:3+ years of residential painting experienceStrong prep and finishing skillsExperience with drywall patching and minor repairsAbility to cut clean lines and deliver high-quality finishesKnowledge of paints, primers, caulks, and coatingsValid driver's license and reliable transportationAbility to lift 50+ lbs and work on laddersPreferred:Experience in remodeling or handyman workSpray equipment experienceBasic carpentry skillsExperience with cabinet painting/refinishingCustomer service experienceWhat We're Looking ForTakes pride in quality craftsmanshipReliable and shows up on timeProblem solver who works independentlyPositive attitude and team playerProfessional appearance and communicationSomeone who treats customers' homes with respectCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive pay based on experienceConsistent year-round workOpportunity for advancementSupportive team environmentTraining and growth opportunities
