Job description

RST Agent – Experience RequiredReporting to the Residential Security Agent Team Lead, the Agent provides safe and secure transportation while supporting the Residential Security Team. This role operates in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and requires maturity, adaptability, and a client-focused, concierge mindset. Ideal candidates have prior Residential Security Agent experience.Duties:Ensure the overall safety and security of designated principals and their properties.Maintain a knowledge of baseline principal, property and neighborhood activitiesMonitor property and area activities and conditions via closed-circuit television camera system and physical perimeter checksMonitor traditional and social media for potential threatsControlling access to properties and maintenance of security logs for guests, service personnel, and vendors.Screen and track mail and deliveriesMonitor the following:Weather and natural disastersTrafficPublic safety incidents and trendsNeighborhood watch programsLocal and national current eventsCoordinate with site staff to accomplish common tasksComplete daily household tasks and maintenance as requested by principalsEnsures 24/7 operational readiness through stocking supplies and equipment upkeepOperate within parameters established by standard operating procedures and applicable lawsCoordinate with and support executive protection element of the teamOpportunities for driving and special off-site assignments/details.Demonstrate proficiency in use and proper maintenance for all equipment (i.e., vehicles, medical supplies, communications devices, etc.)Potential local travel approximately 5% -10% of the time to other RST sites or principal destinations.Must be flexible and open to working overtime shifts whether they are night or day shift, coming in early and staying late if needed.Must possess the ability to multitask in a very fast-paced environment.Must be able to stay vigilant sitting in a vehicle or security office for extended periods of time.Must be a proactive problem solver with the capability to work independently and as part of a team.Must possess a good understanding of the latest technology in security camera systems, use of smartphones, communications, and collaboration apps (Google Drive, Word, Excel & Power Point).Must be dog friendly.Must keep a professional appearance, have good personal hygieneMust be responsive via phone call, text and email as needed to support the team.Excellent communicator with the ability to be personable, successfully interact with clients, superiors, peers, vendors and neighborsKnowledge/Skills and Abilities:Capable of regular, non-technical vehicle maintenance (replace wiper fluids, maintain proper inflation of tires, etc.).Must be a reliable team member and maintain a positive attitude.Flexible understanding the need to work overtime with or without advanced notice.Ability to communicate in situations over radios, phone, email, text and in-person. Must be personable, successfully interact with clients, superiors, peers, vendors and neighbors.Required to handle sensitive and confidential information.Ability to drive in all weather conditions.Must possess a good understanding of the latest technology in security camera systems, use of smartphones, push to talk radios, GPS devices, communications, and collaboration apps (Google Drive, Word, Excel & Power Point).Ability to remain professional and courteous at all times.Capable of deciphering GPS traffic notifications and able to plan the safest routes to take.Ability to operate without the need for constant guidance from others.Maintain rational behavior and stay calm under stressful driving conditions and refrain from using inappropriate language.Capable of following instructions and requests without complaint, not commenting, engaging in or joining any conversations of the Principal/passengers without permission.Use of alcohol or medications that impair your driving ability are strictly prohibited.Must keep a professional appearance and have good personal hygiene.Position Qualifications, Certificates and Licenses:2+ years of residential security experience2-4+ years of combined experience in relevant security, military, and/or law enforcement positions (preferred)Physically fit to facilitate emergency responsesValid Driver's License with clean driving recordAmerican Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED for Adult, Child & Infant certificationCalifornia BSIS Guard CardNevada PLIB Work Card (Can be pending, but must have in-hand by start date)California BSIS Exposed Firearm PermitMust successfully pass an EMT course*All certifications must be current. Employees are responsible for keeping all certifications/licenses activePhysical Requirements:Ability to:Swiftly patrol large properties and quickly access all areas of an assignment.Stand and walk for prolonged periods, including continuous standing for 4–5 or more hours without a break when operationally required.Sit for prolonged periods, including 5 or more hours while monitoring surveillance systems or performing security operations.Run, sprint, or traverse long distances during emergency response situations.Perform sustained physical activity immediately following a maximum-effort emergency response.Respond effectively to physical attacks, emergencies, medical incidents, natural disasters, evacuations, and other critical incidents.Move, crawl, climb, and maneuver through structured and unstructured environments, including confined or unpredictable spaces.Bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as required to perform essential job functions.Lift and carry equipment or other objects weighing at least 50 pounds.Safely wear, carry, and operate required duty gear and equipment throughout an assigned shift.Physically control, capture, restrain, detain, lift, or drag individuals weighing 200 pounds or more when required.Perform assigned duties safely and effectively in diverse environmental conditions, including extreme heat, cold, high humidity, inclement weather, and aquatic or coastal environments.Detail Structure:Full-time positionSchedule is 3 days on 6 days offShift length: 72 hours, within that time you will work (3) 12-hour shiftsWeekendsHolidaysOvertime/additional shifts as needed with or without noticeLocal travel driving Principals and their guestsSalary and Benefits:$150-180,000 annuallyPay structure per shift includes built-in overtime in accordance with CA and federal lawsPaid sick leavePaid time off (PTO) accrualHoliday pay for select holidays you work (6)Company 401(k) with employer matchFlexible insurance plans - Medical, dental and vision100% of employee and dependent premium paid for by Keelson (plan upgradable for additional employee paid premium)Life InsuranceLong Term DisabilityShort Term DisabilityCritical Accident/Illness coverageEmployment with Keelson is at-will, meaning that you or Keelson may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice.
