nThe primary function of a Respiratory Care Practitioner (Registered Respiratory Therapist) is to provide respiratory care to a variety of inpatients and outpatients. The scope of duty includes therapeutic, diagnostic, educational and invasive procedures for adult, pediatric and infant NBI/CHoNJ patients.

n nEssential Functions:
nnnHelps patient accomplish treatment plan and, supports life by administering inhalants, and operating mechanical ventilators.
n
nnTherapeutic gas administration apparatus, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators. Administers respiratory therapy treatments by performing bronchopulmonary drainage.
n
nnAssisting with breathing exercises; monitoring physiological responses to therapy, such as vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry changes; and directing treatments given by aides, technicians, and assistants.
