Respiratory Care Practitioner - Variable Shift - Core

Full Time
The Respiratory Care Practitioner is responsible for delivering high-quality respiratory therapy services to patients across various care settings. This role involves collaborating with physicians and nursing staff to assess, plan, and implement respiratory care plans while ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
The practitioner will operate advanced respiratory equipment, provide critical care support, and contribute to a patient-centered healthcare environment focused on safety, quality, and compassion.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Clinical Support Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory conditions
Administer oxygen therapy and respiratory treatments
Assist physicians in developing and implementing care plans
Perform patient assessments and diagnostic procedures
Advanced Respiratory Care Operate and maintain ventilators and life-support systems
Manage airway care, resuscitation, and emergency interventions
Monitor patient response and adjust treatments accordingly
Collaboration & Coordination Work closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
Participate in patient care planning and clinical discussions
Support continuity of care across departments
Compliance & Documentation Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
Adhere to hospital policies, regulatory standards, and safety protocols
Complete required orientation and training programs
Required Qualifications Education meeting certification/licensure requirements
Active Washington Respiratory Care Practitioner License (required at hire)
BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy practices and equipment
Preferred Qualifications Experience in acute care or hospital respiratory therapy settings
Familiarity with ventilatory support systems and critical care equipment
Core Competencies Strong clinical judgment and problem-solving skills
Effective communication and teamwork
Ability to work in fast-paced environments

Work Environment Hospital-based Respiratory Therapy Department
Exposure to critical care and emergency situations
