nUWMC Northwest is currently recruiting for a RESPIRATORY CARE SPECIALIST to join our Respiratory Care Team!

nWORK SCHEDULE

nnInquire About Shift

n

n nPRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

nnnProvide education and training to Respiratory Care Practitioners, nurses, physicians, residents, and other staff regarding new equipment, clinical guidelines, standards, and evidence-based practices.

n

nnCoordinate and provide orientation, competency validation, and preceptorship for newly hired permanent and temporary staff.

n

nnFacilitate advanced learning opportunities, including conferences, seminars, continuing education, and time away from clinical duties for professional development.

n

nnDemonstrate advanced knowledge and clinical expertise in all theories and practices of respiratory care.

n

nnProvide advanced respiratory care services and support clinical staff in delivering safe and therapeutic patient care.

n

nnPerform patient assessments to determine acuity and prioritize care needs appropriately.

n

nnDevelop, implement, and evaluate Respiratory Care Practitioner-driven protocols and patient care guidelines based on current scientific evidence.

n

nnParticipate in and lead quality improvement initiatives, research projects, and departmental performance improvement activities.

n

nnInvestigate and recommend methods to improve operational performance, quality outcomes, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

n

nnEstablish professional rapport and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians, nurses, therapists, patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

n

nnCommunicate effectively in both individual and group settings.

n

n nREQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIO NS

nnnCurrent Washington State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license in good standing.

n

nnRegistered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required.

n

nnMinimum of five (5) years recent critical care Respiratory Care Practitioner experience required.

n

nnMinimum of three (3) years demonstrated leadership experience required.

n

n nDesired:

nnnBachelor’s degree in Respiratory Care or related field preferred.

n

nnNeonatal experience preferred.

n

nnPediatric experience preferred

n

nnCurrent Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred

n

n nCompensation, Benefits and Position Details

nPay Range Minimum:

n$59.19 hourly

nPay Range Maximum:

n$84.68 hourly
