Respiratory Therapist - Cardio Pulmonary Services
MLR Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Iowa. This role involves providing comprehensive respiratory care for patients with a variety of pulmonary conditions, ensuring top-quality care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess and evaluate patients' respiratory needs and conditions.
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on thorough evaluations.
Administer respiratory therapies such as oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and mechanical ventilation.
Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatments as needed.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
Educate patients and families on respiratory health and available treatment options.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with regulations.
Qualifications:
Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Iowa.
Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy; Bachelor's degree preferred.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is a plus.
Previous clinical experience preferred.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
