Respiratory Therapist
Location: Columbia, Missouri
Pay Rate: $900 to $1,800/week
Contract: 13 weeks
Schedule: Day Shift, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: 36
Experience: Minimum 2 years required
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a 13-week quick-start contract opportunity in Columbia, Missouri. This role supports ICU, NICU, ER, and floor therapy patients, including neonatal, infant, adult, and geriatric populations, with a strong focus on critical care, ventilator management, respiratory treatments, and patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
• Provide respiratory therapy care across ICU, NICU, ER, and floor therapy settings
• Manage mechanical ventilation, noninvasive ventilation, inhaled medications, and critical respiratory support
• Perform arterial punctures, respiratory assessments, treatments, and patient monitoring
• Support patients with respiratory failure, COPD, asthma, pneumonia, CHF, ARDS, COVID-19, and related conditions
• Document care accurately using Meditech and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
Requirements
• Active Missouri Respiratory Therapist License Required
• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience required
• BLS/BCLS Certification Required
• RRT Or CRT Certification Required
• Mechanical ventilation, critical care, and respiratory treatment experience required; NICU experience preferred
