Job description
Step into an impactful respiratory care role working with patients across the healthcare continuum. As a skilled Respiratory Therapist, you will be crucial in assisting individuals with breathing disorders and supporting patient care teams to deliver best-in-class respiratory management.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Active credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Current state licensure as required for respiratory therapy practice
Experience using a variety of respiratory equipment and modalities
Strong clinical assessment and problem-solving abilities
Proficient in documentation software and electronic medical records systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with multidisciplinary teams
Commitment to providing compassionate patient-centered care
Schedule/Hours: Contract position; schedule details to be discussed during the interview process
Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with respiratory conditions, implementing effective therapy plans
Administer therapeutic treatments, including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, chest physiotherapy, and airway management procedures
Perform and interpret diagnostic respiratory tests, such as arterial blood gases and pulmonary function testing
Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes
Monitor and adjust ventilator settings, responding promptly to changes in patient status
Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and equipment use
Maintain accurate documentation of all therapies and patient progress according to facility standards
