Overview
nPosition: Respiratory Therapist (RT)
nLocation: Birmingham, AL(3rd floor of Brookwood Baptist Medical Center)
nSchedule: Full-time Day Shift - 6:30 am to 7:00 pm
nCompensation: $28.98 to $39.00 per hour, based on experieince
n(Competitive shift differentials for nights and weekends)
nSign-On Bonus: $10,000

n nResponsibilities
nResponsibilities
nnnEvaluating patients and recommending an appropriate treatment plan.
n
nnProviding respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions.
n
nnPerforming insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
n
nnPromoting continuous quality improvement.
n
nnTeaching and counseling patients/families.
n
n nQualifications
nMinimum requirements:
nnnMust possess "Active" CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
n
nnProof of graduation required: college transcript/diploma (preferred) or high school transcript/diploma or GED.
n
nnPossess a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
n
nnCurrent state licensure is required.
n
nnACLS is required within 6 months of hire. (Agency RT must have ACLS upon first shift, PRN staff must have ACLS upon hire).
n
n nPreferred qualifications:
nnOne (1) year of related experience is preferred.
