Job description
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Respiratory Therapist, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional respiratory care to patients across diverse clinical settings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work directly with patients and their care team where you are able to put the patient first.
Responsibilities
Assess patients' respiratory status through detailed evaluation of vital signs, oxygen levels, and physical examination findings.
Conduct Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Pulmonary Function Testing, In-home Respiratory Care Assessments and Durable Medical equipment setups.
Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
Conduct patient assessments to determine the need for respiratory interventions; monitor responses to treatments and adjust therapies accordingly.
Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient responses, medication administration, and vital signs in compliance with policies.
Requirements Valid licensure as a Respiratory Therapist from the appropriate state licensing board. We are open to both CRT and RRT.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required
Experience working in acute care settings is highly desirable.
Familiarity with pulmonology concepts, medication administration protocols, and medical terminology relevant to respiratory therapy.
Ability to perform patient assessments accurately while maintaining a compassionate approach for geriatrics, and diverse patient populations.
