Job description
Respiratory Care Position
When a patient has a severe respiratory condition in a ProMedica hospital, a Registered Respiratory Therapist provides the care they need in a general, clinical, emergency, and/or diagnostic care area. You will help create a care plan, evaluate goals, and maintain communication with appropriate members of a patient's health care team. In this role, you will help with clinical instruction of respiratory care, nursing, medical students, and residents as needed. You will also help orient new staff and contribute to the growth of others to strengthen the team. The above summary is intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed in this role. It should not be considered exhaustive.
REQUIREMENTS
Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program
Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Licensed to provide respiratory care services by the state where work is performed
Current BLS
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
ACLS, NRP, and PALS certification is recommended, and may be required at some business units.
